A documentary about life, surf, and identity on Siargao Island in the Philippines. Siargao, Philippines is known as one of the world’s great surf destinations. But between the waves exists another rhythm of island life. Between Sets is a documentary filmed on the island of Siargao exploring the people, culture, and quiet moments that shape life around the surf. Through conversations with locals, photographers, musicians, and long-time residents, the film reflects on identity, memory, tourism, and the changing character of the island. Shot over several years on location, the film follows the spaces between sessions: the slow mornings, the ocean’s pull, and the stories that emerge when the waves stop breaking. This documentary was created as part of a university thesis project at Duke Kunshan University . Location: Siargao Island, Philippines Music featured in this film belongs to its respective copyright owners and is used for artistic and documentary purposes.
