Car Camera - Lincoln, NE - Downtown to Sun Valley . 2014 ( ネブラスカ州リンカーン )

Here's a video I've been planning on doing for quite a while. On an auspicious and High Wind Warning day, we travel from Downtown Lincoln, Nebraska, U.S.A., through the North Bottoms, up to the south-end of Belmont, along Sun Valley through the Salt Creek Valley and finally west of Downtown. I've always liked this route along Sun Valley Boulevard (U.S. Highway 6) because it looks so different... I like to compare it to a valley in Japan. Haymarket Park is nearby here, home of the Salt Dogs which is along with Salt Creek... so that makes these salt flats??? I know there are some at the Lincoln Airport along Interstate 80 - you can actually see the salt on the ground :o ! No mystery that the small village of Lancaster, which preceded Lincoln, was a mining town for salt ;p ... A bit of an eventful ride please so enjoy and never mind the snow flurries ^_~ ! Timeline: ( 00:00 - Eastbound on "K" Street). 00:14 - Eastbound on "K" St. in Downtown Lincoln. The City-County building is directly on the right (can't be seen) and the Nebraska State Capitol can be seen on the right ahead. 00:29 - Northbound on South 10th St. 1:27 - "O" St. (U.S. Highway 34) intersection. U.S. Hwy. 34 East are both on the left & right and U.S. Hwy. 34 West joins up with 10th St. ahead (originating from the right). S. 10th St. becomes North 10th St. here. Now northbound on N. 10th St. (U.S. Hwy. 34 West). 1:50 - "Q" St. intersection. The University of Nebraska @ Lincoln City Campus is on the right for a ways after the intersection. 1:57 - U.S. Hwy. 34 West leave N. 10th St. on the left and overlaps with Interstate 180 North (I-180 North begins here at the base of the overpass on the left). N. 10th St. continues ahead. Continuing northbound on N. 10th St. Memorial Stadium can be seen in the distance behind some trees just to the right of the road. 2:34 - Continuing northbound on N. 10th St. (Salt Creek roadway begins on the right just after the roundabout). 2:40 - N. 10th St. overpass. The North Bottoms begin after the overpass. 3:34 - The old headquarters of the Nebraska Air and Army National Guard can be seen on the right. 3:50 - Military Road intersection. The Lincoln Indian Center is on the right just after the intersection. 3:58 - Salt Creek bridge. 4:19 - N. 10th St. merges with U.S. Hwy. 6 and becomes N. 11th St here. Now northbound on N. 11th St. (U.S. Hwy. 6 East). 4:23 - Oak Creek bridge. 4:58 - Cornhusker Hwy. intersection just ahead. U.S. Hwy. 6 East leaves on the right. Continuing northbound on N. 11th St. 5:10 - Now southbound on N. 11th St. (U.S. Hwy. 6 West). 5:31 - Oak Creek bridge. 5:42 - N. 11th St. ends here and becomes Sun Valley Boulevard (U.S. Hwy. 6 West). Now southbound on Sun Valley Blvd. (U.S. Hwy. 6 West). Oak Lake can be seen on the right. Entering the Salt Creek valley. 6:14 - I-180/U.S. Hwy. 34 is below (overpass). Oak Lake Park is on the right just after the overpass. 7:00 - Line Drive intersection. Haymarket Park is on the left (can't be seen). 7:15 - Sun Valley Blvd. overpass. 8:12 - Lancaster County DMV's Main Station can be seen on the right. 8:31 - West "O" St. intersection. U.S. Hwy. 6 West leaves on the right. 8:41 - Eastbound on W. "O" St. 8:46 - Salt Creek bridge. The Salt Creek Levee Bicycle Trail runs underneath. Pinnacle Bank Arena can be seen on the afar left and Downtown is just ahead.
