Kia ora and welcome to Your Good Yarn! It's Day 2 of Vlogtober and today I'm attempting my very first PetiteKnit pattern — the Sophie Hood! It's a hood that turns into a long scarf, and I wanted one to keep the wind off my headphones on my morning walks. I went a bit rogue: I made the large size in a DK / 8-ply (King Cole Big Value Tweed in Oatmeal) instead of the yarn the pattern calls for, and then I timed exactly how long it took, hour by hour. I was certain this would be a cosy little weekend project. Reader, it was not. 😅 Come along as I knit it absolutely everywhere — knit groups, the car, waiting at parkour, silly early mornings — and find out the very humbling grand total at the end. 📋 Project details • Pattern: PetiteKnit Sophie Hood (large size) • Yarn: King Cole Big Value Tweed DK / 8-ply in Oatmeal — used 180g • Needles: 5mm circular 🔗 Links & mentions — add your links in the spaces below: • Pattern — PetiteKnit Sophie Hood https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/libr... • Yarn — King Cole Big Value Tweed DK, Oatmeal https://www.kingcole.com/product/big-... • Bubble Land Studios (my Forget-me-Not stitch marker + that amazing silent yarn swift) https://bubbleland.studio/ • In Stitches   / yarnpodsinstitches   Did I convince you to try the Sophie Hood, or scare you off?! And be honest — how long do your big projects really take vs how long you think they'll take? Tell me below. New here? This is Day 2 of 31 — a new video every day for Vlogtober.
