Riddhima and Bani were two newly married women who entered the same family through completely different kinds of marriages. Riddhima, 24, had married Nikhil, 28, for love, while Bani, also 24, had an arranged marriage with Vipin, 30. Nikhil and Vipin were brothers who lived with their parents Jwala and Ramlal, their grandmother Vimla, and their sister Urvashi. The family was financially comfortable, but the two daughters-in-law had very different personalities. Bani was simple, caring, respectful, and family-oriented, while Riddhima was modern, outspoken, demanding, and more interested in enjoying her own life than adjusting to her new family. Before the marriages, the family had first selected Bani for Vipin. Vimla, the grandmother, immediately liked Bani because she felt that her simple appearance and gentle personality reflected good values. Vipin also trusted his family’s choice and told his mother that he only wanted a wife who could bring peace and happiness to their home. Later, the family met Riddhima, whom Nikhil had already chosen for himself. Riddhima was confident, fashionable, educated, and modern, and Urvashi immediately found her more interesting than Bani. Nikhil was deeply in love with Riddhima, so the family accepted his choice as well. Both marriages were arranged within a week. Before the wedding, Riddhima and Nikhil often discussed their future and imagined going on a honeymoon together. Nikhil suggested Thailand, and Riddhima liked the idea, but she also said that she wanted to travel with her family because she did not like being alone. However, after marriage, her attitude completely changed. The two couples entered their new home together, and even during the wedding rituals, Riddhima showed little interest in traditional customs. Some neighbors, Rekha and Aastha, began criticizing her for not covering her head properly, but Urvashi defended her in her own sarcastic way and argued that people should not interfere in someone else’s choices. After the rituals, both couples went to their rooms. Bani immediately began cleaning the room and taking care of Vipin, while Riddhima became irritated by her heavy wedding clothes, threw her clothes and jewelry around, and ordered Nikhil to turn off the lights. The next morning, Vipin suddenly received a call from his office and had to return to work even though he had planned to take leave after the wedding. Bani woke up early, prepared tea for him, and made sure that he had everything he needed before leaving. She even prepared tea for Nikhil. Nikhil noticed Bani’s caring nature and silently compared her behavior with Riddhima’s. Riddhima, meanwhile, slept late and did not come downstairs even once during the day. When Nikhil returned from work, he found her still relaxing in the room. Instead of asking how his day had been, she demanded that he bring her water. Nikhil became upset because he had spent the entire day working, but he eventually gave up and brought it to her. Bani continued to care for everyone in the family. She learned everyone’s food and drink preferences and prepared their breakfast accordingly. Vimla was impressed that Bani had understood the family so quickly. Riddhima, on the other hand, remained distant and spent most of her time in her room. As the days passed, the difference between the two wives became even clearer. Bani regularly woke up early, prepared food, cared for Vipin, welcomed him when he returned from work, and treated the entire family with affection. Riddhima rarely helped Nikhil or anyone else. She expected li
