Our daughters master bedroom renovation hit a major snag when the old shower unit proved too big for the patio door. We have a plan. Renovating a century-old property always brings unexpected challenges, and this week the scale of our latest bathroom fixture caused quite a headache. While we figure out how to navigate the shower unit out of the master bedroom, we are simultaneously shifting our focus to our property next door. We have foundation issues to address, and a fresh gravel delivery means we have plenty of heavy lifting to keep us busy. This is the reality of managing multiple home renovation projects at once. Whether it is a structural repair or a plumbing dilemma, we are documenting the hands-on work required to bring these aging homes back to their former glory. It is a messy process, but seeing the progress on our fixer upper makes every obstacle worth the effort.
