Berlin Buckler Bouts 2019: The right Sturzhau

Two times a year the Berlin Buckler Bouts (BBB) take place. It is an event dedicated to sword and buckler sparring for whole two days and organized by Roland Warzecha (Dimicator) and Twerchhau e.V. On the second day a couple of talks are usually being held. This time Stephan and I were allowed to present our take on attacking in the MS I.33 - the Walpurgis Fechtbuch (or Tower Fechtbuch, which currently rests at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, Great Britian). We still think that the right Sturzhau might actually be the direct attack we are told to do when approaching first ward with half shield. This video represents a more accurate take on how we think it looks like in practise (and how it worked for us in sparring). You do you of course, I am not dogmatic about this as possible techniques hugely depend on the context. I just think, that a technique should work even if there are small variations of the situation.
