He Called My Name

“He Called My Name” — Genesis Soundworks She came to the tomb carrying the weight of sorrow, searching for the One she thought she had lost forever. Blinded by tears and overwhelmed by grief, Mary Magdalene did not recognize the risen Savior standing before her. Until He spoke one word. “Mary.” In that single moment, sorrow turned to joy, despair gave way to hope, and everything changed. The voice she thought had been silenced by death was calling her by name. “He Called My Name” tells the powerful biblical story of Mary Magdalene’s encounter with the resurrected Jesus Christ, inspired by John 20:11–18. This song is a reminder that even in our darkest moments, when hope seems lost and we feel forgotten, Jesus knows exactly who we are. He sees our tears, hears our cries, and calls us by name. The tomb was empty. The Savior was alive. And He knew her name.
