What Really Happened to Raquel Welch?

What really happened to Raquel Welch? In 1966, one poster made her one of the most famous faces in the world. Decades later, people were still asking what became of her. In this documentary, we follow her story from a young single mother working as a cocktail waitress, to global stardom after One Million Years B.C., to her fight against being reduced to a single image. We look at her Golden Globe win for The Three Musketeers, the troubled production of Myra Breckinridge, and her landmark lawsuit against MGM after being fired from Cannery Row. We also cover her Broadway run, her business ventures, her memoir, and her final years. There was no dark secret and no mysterious disappearance. The truth is a story of resilience, reinvention, and a woman who refused to be erased. Raquel Welch passed away on February 15, 2023, at age 82. 🎬 Subscribe to Hollywood Vault for more classic Hollywood stories, forgotten stars, and the history the studios left in the shadows.
