NCRSP Wednesday Workshops Informative Sessions Member Requested Topics Understanding North Carolina's Constitutional Amendments Wednesday, October 14, 2026 Presenter: Sally Hodges-Copple Senior Public Policy Analyst NC Budget & Tax Center Members will examine the constitutional amendments voters will consider in the November election. This session will help members understand how proposed changes could affect North Carolina's long-term ability to support public schools, healthy communities, dependable infrastructure, local services and economic security for residents across the state. Sally Hodges-Copple will provide context about the amendments, including proposals concerning income-tax limits, and property tax growth. Because constitutional amendments create lasting changes that are more difficult to revise than ordinary laws, informed participation is especially important. Members are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and prepare to vote with confidence this fall.
