25 Oct 2026 - Gimme Some Loving - Butchers Arms Open Mic

Gimme Some Loving by Blues Brothers performed by Tracey (aka RoXi) on vocals, Paul on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Vanessa on lead guitar, Freddie on bass guitar and Eddie on drums at the Butchers Arms on 25 October 2026. The first song of the set is one we have done before and thought the band were great! I decided to ditch the mic stand in an effort stop using it as a prop to keep upright, am trying work on mic technique a bit more, which felt went well as did taking more notice of the band for cues. Still having to read the lyrics, but that is improving, however, I was in a weird place tonight - everything vocally was almost there but not quite - hard to explain, maybe tired but felt drained, my focus and energy was lacking so couldn't quite seem to get into the mood or express the emotion of the songs as much as would have liked. Think the brain decided to go off-piste trying to remember how to multi-task again - thank goodness for the guys whose energy made up for it! Thanks also to Luci for recording! Feel very grateful to them all for their help and support!!
