Protecting What Matters Most: Practical Strategies for Safer, More Resilient Catholic Schools

Catholic schools are embracing technology, AI tools, and connected campuses at an unprecedented pace, and that creates new responsibilities alongside new opportunities. This practical, non-commercial session gives teachers, principals, IT directors, and superintendents a shared framework and a take-home tool to strengthen preparedness across their school community. This 60-minute professional development webinar addresses the intersection of campus safety, cybersecurity, and school leadership in Catholic school communities. Using a realistic school-day scenario and a single teachable framework, SEE → DECIDE → ACT → RECOVER, attendees will learn how to recognize warning signs, clarify decision authority, coordinate an effective response, and return to mission after an unexpected event. Attendee Learning Objectives: 1. Attendees will be able to describe the four stages of the SEE → DECIDE → ACT → RECOVER framework and identify at least one specific action for their role within each stage. 2. Attendees will be able to identify at least three assumptions their school currently makes about preparedness that have not been tested. 3. Attendees will be prepared to facilitate the 20-minute school preparedness conversation with their school leadership team, including naming a decision-maker, a backup, and at least one action item to address within 30 days.
