World Championship | XTERRA 2026

Thirty years after the first XTERRA World Championship in Maui, athletes from 41 countries came together in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Race day began in the cool water of Grindstone Lake. Athletes then climbed rocky, pine-lined singletrack on the bike before running through forest trails and village streets to the finish at Wingfield Park. Alizée Patiès and Sullivan Middaugh won the elite Full Distance titles. Across the age groups, athletes raced for world titles and personal goals of their own. Behind every finish were training, travel, and people who helped make the journey possible. To the families, volunteers, and Ruidoso community who shared the day with us: thank you.
