DAM | REGGAE

Reggae is one of the most influential musical and cultural expressions of the 20th century. Originating on the island of Jamaica in the late 1960s, it quickly transcended its Caribbean borders to become a global phenomenon, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. It evolved from other local rhythms, such as ska and rocksteady, while also incorporating influences from American rhythm and blues (R&B).
