Located in the wilderness of the Sequoia National Forest, the Cannell Meadow Trail climbs up to view Mt. Whitney, the tallest mountain in the Continental US. Dad says this ride is just "pure fun". This Eastern Sierras singletrack is made more interesting by the many drop-offs, switchbacks, rock features, and epic views. Lower and Upper Cannell are open to dirt bikes, while all 3 sections are open to mountain bikes, meaning to complete the route and not risk ticketing by a ranger, you need a dual sport to traverse the logging road stretch between Lower and Upper Cannell.
