How Do You Know If What You're Hearing Is Actually Biblical? | Daron Adkison

We live in a world flooded with voices, many of them speaking in the name of Christ while quietly emptying that name of its meaning. The real danger to the church has never come primarily from those who openly reject Jesus. It comes from those who use His name while reshaping what He actually said. In this message, we begin a new series designed to build something that feels increasingly rare: genuine confidence rooted in biblical truth. Not defensiveness. Not culture war. Confidence, the kind that comes from actually knowing what Scripture says so that when you encounter a difficult cultural question, you don't have to guess or go along with whoever sounds most convincing. We're living in a post-Christian nation, a culture that was historically shaped by Christian values but has since moved away from them as its foundation for public morality and authority. That shift changes how we engage the world around us, and it raises a question every believer needs to be able to answer: how do we tell true teaching from false teaching when both are spoken in the name of Christ? This series will work through that question practically, examining specific cultural and theological topics where the noise is loudest and the stakes are highest. The goal is simple: to know the truth well enough that it transforms how we think, how we respond, and how we engage a world that desperately needs the real gospel. 🌐 Website: www.fairfieldbaptist.com 📺 Watch more sermons: fairfieldbaptist.com/sermons 📱 Follow us on Facebook: @fairfieldbaptistcypress 📸 Follow us on Instagram: @fairfieldbaptistcypress
