Elbow River Camp Located along the river in ENMAX Park on the east side of the park, it is dedicated to promoting and preserving the cultural heritage of the Treaty 7 Indigenous tribes. Key features include: (1) 26 Traditional Tipis Twenty-six traditional tipis representing the five Treaty 7 Indigenous tribes (Kainai, Piikani, Siksika, Stoney Nakoda, and Tsuut'ina) are set up within the camp. Indigenous families will actually stay in these tipis during the 10-day rodeo, showcasing traditional handicrafts, beadwork, and deerskin clothing. (2) Indigenous Performances and Cultural Activities Daily vibrant youth Powwow dance competitions and cultural demonstrations showcase the traditional costumes and drumming of each tribe. Traditional Indigenous intellectual and psychological games are demonstrated and held on-site. (3) Local Food and Handicrafts Traditional Indigenous bannocks and specialties served with Saskatoon berry jam can be enjoyed.
