MTV Presents Spring Dance Mix '96

In the mid-1990s, this CD became one of the most famous releases from a notorious Dutch pirate label (often simply referred to by youth as "the MTV CDs"). Although it prominently featured the official MTV name and logo on the cover, the music television network had absolutely nothing to do with it. Because streaming media did not exist and official compilation CDs were expensive, people mass-bought these cheap, jam-packed bootleg mix CDs at local street markets and independent record shops. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.
