The Evolution Of One Of The BEST Halo 2 Mods... | Halo 2: Reforged - Earth City: Old Mombasa

Halo 2: Reforged has come a long way. Previously known as Halo 2: What If?, this fan-made project aims to reimagine the entire Halo 2 campaign with new and restored content, cut weapons and vehicles, redesigned characters, new encounters, environmental changes, and ideas inspired by some of Halo 2's earliest builds. In this video, we're checking out Earth City: Old Mombasa, one of the currently released levels, and taking a look at how Halo 2: Reforged has evolved. The project features things like the Mark V armor for Master Chief, the classic MA5B Assault Rifle and Magnum from Halo: CE, Halo 2's early E3 2003 Battle Rifle and Brute Shot, Halo 3 weapons such as the Spiker and Mauler, cut vehicles including the Mongoose and Falcon, the Flood Juggernaut, Sentinel weapons, redesigned Flood and Covenant characters, destroyable Phantoms and Shadows, revamped encounters, cut content, and much more. Halo 2: Reforged is still heavily in development, with the creator rebuilding the campaign after losing previous work due to a hard drive failure. Only a few levels are currently available, making this an early look at how the project is taking shape. It's been interesting watching Halo 2: Reforged evolve, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where the project goes from here.
