The Two Thunderballs: A mini-documentary comparing the two theatrical audio mixes

No official information has ever been released about these mixes or how they came to be. For years I have tried to discover their origin to no avail. In this video I discuss: the film’s production, the two audio mixes, catalog every difference and variation, provide my best educated guess as to why the two mixes were made, describe the best available version of Mix A and the status of Mix B, discuss the home video release audio tracks and the best audio options for both mixes at present. Additionally I describe some errors in MGM’s remix and the appallingly poor MiCasa Studios 5.1 remix which was not only completely revisionist but included an incorrect alternative John Barry cue not to be found elsewhere.
