New Zealand October 2025

September 29 - October 5. Visited Auckland first on the north Island where we went to the Shire from the Lord of the Rings, the Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland where there is active geothermal activity underground that super heats the water, carrying high concentrations of sulfur to the surface. From there, flew to Queenstown on the south island and explored Glenorchy and Arrowtown. On tour went 4 hours to Milford Sound where we pass through many of the mountains and scenery of Middle Earth. A small town, Queenstown sits on a massive freshwater lake that becomes very busy in the winter.
