We head out first thing in the morning and spend a lot of time photographing birds like African jacanas, kingfishers, darters and even a rare pigmy goose in the stunning morning light. We also spot larger animals like Cape buffalo and plenty of hippos, but the highlight was about 30 enormous Nile crocodiles feeding on an old hippo carcass. Our last afternoon is spend admiring the African sunset from Chobe Safari Lodge's brand new sunset deck, where they had prepared an amazing spread for us! I can't recommend this lodge highly enough - it's the perfect place to end an overlanding adventure to the Chobe National Park!
