Loco-Hauled at Shrewsbury in the 90s

As the decade marched on towards the millennium, traditional loco-hauled passenger trains were becoming increasingly hard to find. On a warm summer's morning in August of 1999 there was a small respite however in the form of two loco-hauled charters seen at Shrewsbury. Ten years previously neither class of loco that day would have raised much more of an eyebrow but in the last year of the decade, it had become far more of an attraction.
