Students will learn about American culture during the Halloween season, and the class ends with one of the most popular Halloween-time songs. The goal of each Halloween class is to give students an opportunity to "experience" Halloween, or at least learn more about the American version of it. Through this, I hope they can gain a broader view of the world. Halloween Class No. 2 adds more information, and Halloween Class No. 3 includes the final cultural content I've chosen to share with students. Each class contains different cultural information and is designed to match each grade's English grammar level. Class No. 1 was created for 7th-grade students in Japan (1st grade JHS) and has the simplest English. For example, "Have you ever carved a jack o' lantern?" is adjusted to their grammar level, "Did you carve or cut a jack o' lantern before?" Of course, feel free to correct this and use the "Have you ever..." grammar while the video is playing. Even though each class is designed for a specific grade, you can use any of these classes for any age group or English level you would like. If you don't have time to show the full presentation, then please pick and choose the content you would like to show. This video presentation is designed so you can start it and not have to pause it. Of course, the timing may not be perfect for every class, so you're in control of keeping the pace moving smoothly. Please add your own comments during the presentation to help clarify anything your students might not understand. Also, there may be flashing lights in some videos, so please warn your viewers as necessary. If you have any questions, thoughtful comments, or kind suggestions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you so much for viewing this class presentation!
