This is the hindi version of Ratnakar Pachisi - an epic poem which is recited in many Jain temples. It was written by Jain monk Guru Ratnakarsuri Ji Maharaj Sa who was found by his shishya Sudhanshresthi to be hiding gems (monks are supposed to have no possessions). The poem is a long statement of remorse by the monk who admits to his weakness & personal insecurity and crushes the gems, opening the door to liberation. This expresses the Jain moral value of Aparigraha vrata (Non possession), one of the 5 Mahavratas of Jainism. There is nothing in this world which can be termed as ours except our soul.
