Rick started in the early 2000s, back when the booth was a mix of CDs and vinyl and everything got beatmatched by ear — no waveforms, no safety net, just your hands and your ears. His first residency was at CrocoBar, the room where the fundamentals got learned: how to read a floor, when to hold back, when to let it go. From there he landed at L'Aventure in Lac-Simon, one of the biggest house rooms in the region and a proper proving ground. Bigger crowd, longer nights, higher stakes. Then came the long professional break — but not a break from the music. The decks never got packed away. Two Technics SL-1200s, still the same pair, now running into a laptop: the ritual of vinyl with a library that has no ceiling. Two decades of digging, and none of it wasted.
