It has been exactly 10 years since I packed my life into a few bags and moved to the US. But the truth is, the immigrant journey doesn't actually start the day you board the flight. It starts the day you look around and realize your current path is a dead end. Welcome to Chapter 1 of a 12-part mini-series documenting my last decade. I wanted to create a time capsule—not the polished, highlight-reel version of moving abroad, but the messy, unfiltered reality of what it actually took to get here. In this episode, we go back to Navi Mumbai and Pune. From racking up KTs and engineering a 3,002-mark photo finish at Mumbai University just to get a job, to feeling trapped by a 1-lakh corporate bond and a toxic work culture when we started working.
