Triumph Duo ride: Sheppey and Spitfires!

It's the last day of Summer and so what better way to celebrate, than a ride on two Triumph motorcycles? Join Dan and I as we head from Whitstable to the Isle of Sheppey in Kent, which is the home of aviation, especially around the settlement of Eastchurch. With grumbling bellies, we head for the Coastal Garden Cafe for a full English, which was superb. Heading back off the island and on to the mainland, we cruise around the East Kent lanes, home to beautiful villages, oast houses, village pubs and churches. Deciding to extend our ride, we head to Headcorn aerodrome to keep the history of aviation alive. Here we have a coffee from a converted van, watch wing walkers and sky divers and watch a Mk 1 Spitfire take off. Sadly, I forgot to hit record and didn't capture the magic, roar and power of the Merlin engine. Back towards home once more through various Kentish landscapes, from woodland, marshland and the coast. What a superb ride and another one for the log book.
