This was one of the scariest flights of my life. Our flight to Skardu made three landing approaches, but each attempt was unsuccessful. We remained in the air for almost 2½ to 3 hours, surrounded by the spectacular mountains of northern Pakistan, before eventually turning back to Islamabad.
