Reel en trois parties croches à Edmond Savoie - Devon's Tune of the Week 83

This is a crazy crazy tune from NE New Brunswick folks! I first heard Robin LeBlanc playing it (he's the one that coined the name), and I couldn't understand it. Then I tracked down the field recording of Edmond F. Savoie playing it and I REALLY couldn't understand it. It feels like the rhythm switches in the middle of the A part which makes it impossible to tap your foot to, but it's actually a clever magic trick. The rhythm is in the off beat of the tune, but it's disguised a bit so it's not apparent at first. This tune is from the playing of Edmond F. Savoie of the village of Évangeline in NE New Brunswick. He was an absolutely amazing fiddler with a crazy repertoire and he was also André à Toto Savoie's first fiddle teacher (they weren't related). I explain how this tune works at the end of the video if you want to try to learn it. There are three part to this tune and Edmond played them roughly A / B / A / C. Savoie, un violoneux incroyable du village d'Évangéline. Lui était le premier prof de violon pour André à Toto Savoie! Robin LeBlanc joue cette toune aussi d'Edmond un peu différent, mais c'est lui qui a donné le nom à la toune. C'est étrange parce qu'il semble que la rythme se retourne sur elle-même dans la partie A de la toune. Mais en réalité, c'est un peu de magie que j'explique (en anglais désolé) vers la fin de la vidéo.
