But the Bolivian forces were struggling to contain his guerrilla movement, and the CIA feared that the conflict could become the beginning of a much larger revolutionary campaign. Washington turned to CIA operative Felix Rodriguez, a Cuban exile with a personal connection to the revolution. Sent secretly into Bolivia, Rodriguez began piecing together fragments of intelligence, captured documents, photographs, guerrilla records and prisoner testimony. His investigation eventually revealed weaknesses within Guevara's forces and led him closer to the revolutionary leader himself. Using recently declassified accounts and testimony from people involved, this documentary follows the secret CIA operation to track Che Guevara through the Bolivian wilderness—from the capture of key intelligence to the final confrontation that brought one of the 20th century's most famous revolutionaries to an end.
