🔗 How I get from October to March on a fixed income, all written down in Frannie's Winter Book. Get it before the first hard freeze: https://frugalfrannie.com
I'm Frannie, seventy-two, and I have run a house on a small income since I married in 1973. In this video I go through fourteen plain foods at Aldi that people call poor and that quietly keep money in my purse every month: cans, bags, boxes and one tub from the dairy case. I tell you what each one costs me in work and in dollars, how I store it, and the little ways I stretch it into suppers. I also tell you honestly where a food is only a treat and not a staple. One of them is the smallest thing on the list, and I saved it for last.
In this one, I cover:
• Why a quarter in the cart says everything about Aldi
• Which canned vegetable I keep six of on the shelf
• How one bag of potatoes feeds me for two weeks
• What to do with spotted bananas and limp carrots
• The old Depression can that makes milk when the jug runs dry
• The plainest thing on the list, saved for last
I would like to hear which of them already rides in your cart, and which one you have walked past because it looked poor.
