Why Isn't Knowing About God Enough

In Mark 12:28–34, Jesus answers a scribe’s sincere question by naming the greatest command: love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. The sermon confronts the danger of being near the kingdom through knowledge while still failing to receive Christ as King.
