Halloween night, 1985. The plastic pumpkin bucket is banging against your knee, and inside it is candy colored with a dye the government would eventually pull out of the food supply, candy you wore on your face before you chewed it, and candy printed to look exactly like the pack in your father's shirt pocket. Odds are you ate almost every one of these thirty lost Halloween candies from the 1980s that would never survive a trick or treat bag today. In this video: ✓ Candy necklaces and candy rings, the jewelry you ate off your own body ✓ Jawbreakers the size of a golf ball, sold loose out of a bin ✓ Everything on your street that got its color from red dye number three The bag lasted until Thanksgiving if you rationed it, and nobody in the house ever asked where any of it came from. That is the part that sounds strangest now. A kid walked into the dark, took food from strangers, ate it on the sidewalk, and the whole neighborhood considered that a wholesome evening. So tell us in the comments which one you are still looking for, the exact candy you would buy a whole case of tomorrow if somebody brought it back, and tell us which house on your street gave out the good stuff. We will keep pulling them back out of the dark for as long as you keep watching. HalloweenCandy #1980s #80sKids #RetroAmerica #Nostalgia
