Tennessee River Kayak and Camp Chattanooga 2020

Spent 3 days kayaking the Tennessee River and camping. Our destination was Chattanooga, TN. We put in near Springhill Suites hotel in Chattanooga. Great boat ramp. The Chattanooga Ducks also use this ramp...so hurry unloading your gear. We took out at Suck Creek boat ramp. Our first night we camped on Maclellan Island. A permit is needed to stay overnight. $25. Its somewhat overgrown...but a nice camp area. The second night we camped up Lookout Creek. The last night we camped on Williams island. Its free...but reservations required from online. Three campsites on Williams Island....pretty much side by side. Nice bathroom too. We had a vehicle parked at Suck Creek to take us back to Springhill Suites. If you call Springhill and ask nicely...they will let you park there for free. Maybe throw em a tip. While at Suck Creek...eat at the new Outfitters there. River Drifters has great food and employees are soooo nice.
