Church Government

How should the local church be governed now that Christ has ascended to heaven? In this doctrinal study on Church Government, we trace God’s biblical blueprint for church order, starting from the Old Testament history of Israel to the New Testament model instituted by Christ. As the sole Head of His church, Jesus equips His body through gifted leaders. We explore the historical transition from apostolic authority to a biblically qualified elder-led governance supported by deacons. Proper church government is never about worldly dominance, but faithful stewardship, servant-leadership, and shepherd care—attending to the spiritual welfare of the flock, teaching sound doctrine, guarding against error, and maintaining holy order. Discover how elders superintend the congregation with accountability and how members participate in the life of Christ's spiritual house.
