Reolink RLN4E Issues Configuring Cameras through App and Web Interface

I purchased this Reolink RLN4E NVR with high expectations of greatness and then struggled to add cameras to the device. Turns out it isn't possible to add cameras through the App set-up experience or via the integrated web interface as the configuration options are just not exposed on these interfaces.
