The wings, extended toward the back, form the rim of the container. The reverse side of the paper is visible on the lower box-like section, giving it the stability of a decorative ornament. It is made from a single sheet of origami paper. Two folding variations are presented here, resulting in slightly different finished looks. At a certain point, you will need to lift the paper and fold it while holding it in the air. Without practice, this can be tricky; you might intend to make a straight fold but end up with a crooked one. A helpful tip is to focus on creating a flat surface at the front while keeping the back section three-dimensional, rather than trying to flatten the back part down.
