Bringing Theme Park MAGIC to Planet Zoo 2! | Wilderness Springs Wildlands

Welcome back to Wilderness Springs Wildlands in Planet Zoo 2! 🌿🐢 Today, we're bringing a little theme park magic into the zoo as we unveil Trader Dan's Rare Gifts, our brand-new, fully themed gift shop! We're also welcoming two new residents to Wildlands, Big Al and Ms. Hazel, our giant tortoises! Big Al's name is actually inspired by the famous Big Al from Zoo Knoxville, a little tribute to one of my local zoos here in East Tennessee! One of the things I'm enjoying most about Planet Zoo 2 is finding ways to take everything I've learned from years of building in Planet Coaster and apply it to zoo design. From immersive architecture and detailed landscaping to storytelling, sightlines, and guest experiences, I want Wilderness Springs Wildlands to feel like more than just a collection of animal habitats. I want it to feel like a real destination! And honestly, I can't remember the last time I've had this much fun starting a new project. The creativity, the possibilities, and especially the incredible support this series has received have made jumping back into the Planet Zoo community an absolute blast. We're only scratching the surface of what Wildlands will eventually become, and I couldn't be more excited to share that journey with you! 🌿 *In today's episode:* Exploring our new Trader Dan's themed gift shop Introducing Big Al and Ms. Hazel Bringing Planet Coaster design philosophies into Planet Zoo 2 Creating a more immersive, theme park-inspired zoo Talking about the future of Wilderness Springs Wildlands 💬 Let me know in the comments: Do you enjoy seeing theme park-style storytelling and design incorporated into a zoo?
