New Motorcycle Tires Can Be WORSE Than Old Ones — Here’s Why

*Can a new motorcycle tire actually be worse than an old one?* 🏍️ A tire may have plenty of tread and look almost new, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s safe. In this video, I use my *1977 Yamaha XS650* and its old *DOT 3408 tires* to explain what motorcycle riders should check beyond tread depth. We’ll talk about *DOT date codes, tire age, rubber hardening, dry rot and cracking, tire pressure, tread-wear indicators, heat cycles, storage, cornering grip, wet-weather performance, and why an older unused tire can sometimes be a poor choice despite looking new.* I’ll also explain why motorcycle tires are especially important during **braking, acceleration and cornering**, when that small contact patch is doing all the work. Before buying a motorcycle tire—or riding on the ones already on your bike—**check more than just the tread. Check the complete condition of the tire.** 🏍️ *Bike:* 1977 Yamaha XS650 🔧 *Channel:* Old Skool Motos Subscribe for more *classic motorcycle maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, reviews and riding tips.* #MotorcycleTires #MotorcycleSafety #YamahaXS650 #XS650 #MotorcycleMaintenance #MotorcycleTips #ClassicMotorcycles #OldSkoolMotos #MotorcycleRepair #TireSafety Facebook account   / zaildar.baath   Instagram Account https://www.instagram.com/baath.satna... titles Motorcycle Tyre Life – Bike Tyre Kitne Saal Chalta Hai?
