Experience the thrill of 7 rare historic warbirds roaring overhead: AD-4N Skyraider, 2 P-51D Mustangs, F4U-1A Corsair, F8F-2 Bearcat, TBM-3E Avenger, T-28B Trojan. 1952 McDonnell-Douglas AD-4N Skyraider(N5716), Soaring by the Sea Foundation. N5716 served in the Korean War with U.S. Navy Carrier Squadron VC-35("Night Hecklers") and U.S. Marine Composite Squadron One(VMC-1). Flew with Fighter Squadron VF-92 following the Korean Armistice and was put into U.S. military storage in the late 1950's. Was transferred to the French Military in 1960, where it served in the Algerian War and in the Republic of Chad. Was retired, stripped and abandoned at N'Djamena Air Base in Chad. Recovered in 1988 by AMPAA, transported back to France, restored and flew at airshows in Europe before being bought by the Soaring by the Sea Foundation in 2022. 1944 North American P-51D Mustang(N151BP) “Bunny”, Palm Springs Air Museum. N151BP spent most of its time with the US Military in storage. Began service with the Royal Canadian Air Force(RCAF) in 1051. It then suffered a belly landing due to engine failure in 1956 and left military service in 1959. 1944 North American P-51D Mustang(N44727) “ManO’War”, Palm Springs Air Museum. N44727 was stored and owned by Universal Studios from 1955-1970. It appeared in the films "Battle Hymn"(1957) and "Iron Eagle III"(1992). 1943 Vought F4U-1A Corsair(N83782), Planes of Fame Air Museum. N83782 seen service in the Pacific Theater during WW2. Following military service, it served as a prop for MGM Studios until Planes of Fame Air Museum acquired it in 1970. It was in the movies: "Devotion"(2022), "Forever Young"(1992), and the show "Baa Baa Black Sheep(Black Sheep Squadron)"(1976). 1947 Grumman G-58A Gulfhawk/F8F-2 Bearcat(N3025), Planes of Fame Air Museum. N3025 is a wrecked G-58A that was rebuilt and restored using parts from F8F airframes. 1945 Grumman/General Motors TBM-3E Avenger(N93818) “Pacific Predator”, Ace Maker Aviation. N93818 served in the Royal Canadian Navy(RCN) from 1952-1958. Served as a Firefighting Civilian Air Tanker from 1963-1979. 1955 North American T-28B Trojan(N372C), Palm Springs Air Museum. N372C entered service in the U.S. Navy in 1955. After retirement from the Navy, it was leased to Intermountain Aviation, a known front company for the Central Intelligence Agency(CIA).
