Every so often, a distant chime reaches the doorway from somewhere in the garden. This two-hour environmental soundscape combines soft winter air, sparse chimes, and a subtle 528 Hz tone. Gentle snowfall stays outside while the candle burns in the warm corridor. Made for quiet reading, studying, journaling, winding down, and resting between the demands of the day. No music or narration. REALM LORE — OPENING THE YEAR At midnight, the passing year was given a doorway. An Irish account from County Cork, preserved in the Schools' Collection at Dúchas, describes opening both the front and back doors to let the old year out and the new year in. Sometimes a member of the household made the journey instead: out through one door, back through the other, carrying the change of year through the house. The same account remembers candles burning in the windows of some homes on New Year's Eve. Light at the glass, an open threshold, and the brief passage from one year into another: small household gestures that gave an enormous turning of time something you could see and do. Here, the garden waits on the far side of that moment. The door is open; the path continues.
