For nearly two decades, from 1972 through 1989, the R107-generation model was the apex of the Mercedes-Benz range, as well as an avatar of success and good taste. The 450SL has a 4.5-liter V-8 that is hitched to a three-speed automatic transmission, and this example comes with air conditioning, power windows, and an aftermarket AM/FM/CD player.
