The family that wants to produce what they need

4 hectares, tiny houses, permaculture, vegetable garden, a small zero-waste shop. Jenny and Emmanuel are building a life where money matters a little less, and what they can produce themselves matters a little more. Emmanuel started years ago by living in a caravan. In 2018, he built a tiny house. For a while, he lived on around €400–€500 a month (roughly $470–$590), trying to understand what he really needed. Today, the project has grown. They now have a family, two children, several tiny houses and 4 hectares of land that they want to transform more and more through permaculture, water retention systems and a future food forest. One of the tiny houses cost around €15,000 in materials (roughly $17,500). Their idea is not to “drop out of the world”.
