Tinning a Vase Cap (Coating a Stained Glass Lampshade Topper with Solder)

This is the very last step to finishing a stained glass panel lampshade. See part 2 to the soldering part, before seeing this one. If you tin the vase cap before attaching it to the top of your shade, it will match the solder seams, and also take better to patination, if you want to color the solder seams.
