Bella Ramsey Reads 'War Photographer' by Carol Ann Duffy (AQA Power and Conflict; WJEC Eduqas)

Bella’s reading forms part of Dead Poets School (link in bio), our free resources helping those studying AQA Power and Conflict and the new Eduqas anthology, among many others. Listen to the readings at school, at home, or if you’re like Bella, during three days of silence at an Italian Monastery… ‘It’s mostly emotions I can’t name or feelings that I can’t identify’ The inimitable Bella Ramsey reflects on their own process of writing to a rhythm, and the hidden emotions that develop — film-like — as a result. Bella finds — in Carol Ann Duffy’s ‘War Photographer’ as well as poetry itself — the joy of not understanding, but feeling words (and the pleasure of occasionally making some up, too). 📸 Alex Gabbott 00:00: Intro 04:28: Poem
