The Driver Who Came Before | The Old Highway — Episode 2 | Truck Driver Story for Sleep

A driver disappeared in 1999. Twenty-seven years later, his truck is still running. The Old Highway — Episode 2 continues the mysterious truck driver story from Episode 1. After discovering that his own Freightliner was connected to an unexplained trucking incident from 1999, the driver follows an old map toward Mile 184 — a forgotten section of Route 61 where several drivers disappeared from the records. Along the way, he discovers old maintenance records, hidden photographs, abandoned truck yards, and a list of drivers connected by the same truck number: 7842. But the deeper he goes, the more disturbing the truth becomes. Daniel Mercer wasn't the driver behind the wheel. Someone else was. And that same driver may still be somewhere on the road. 🌙 THE OLD HIGHWAY is a serialized 5-episode mystery created for fans of relaxing truck driver stories, atmospheric night driving, and slow-burn mysteries for sleep.
