This is the first video on topic LPP. Being first video it discusses formulation of LPP. The five steps of formulation are explained here with help of examples and a simple formulation is also done to explain the concept. The steps of formulation being: 1. Identifying and declaring the 'key variable' 2. Identifying and declaring the 'decision variables' 3. Formulating the 'objective function' 4. Enumerate 'constraints' 5. List down 'physical constraints' Example discussed here is: A Carpenter makes tables and chairs. Each table requires 7 wooden blocks and 4 man hours to complete, while each chair takes 3 wooden blocks and 6 man hours. He has 100 such wooden blocks and 80 man-hours at his disposal. The only limitation imposed on him is that number of chairs must be at least two times number of tables. He makes a profit of Rs. 10 on each table that he sells and Rs. 6 on a chair.
