After spending some beautiful days in the hills of Kalimpong, it was finally time to return home to Kolkata. But little did we know that our return journey from Dooars to Kolkata would turn into one of the worst experiences of our entire road trip! In this FINAL EPISODE of our Kalimpong Road Trip Series, join us on our return drive from Dooars to Kolkata via the familiar Kolkata–Siliguri highway. What started as a beautiful journey soon turned into a nightmare when our car got stuck in a massive truck traffic jam near Moregram. Surrounded by trucks with no way to move, we waited for almost an hour before calling the NHAI 1033 toll-free helpline for assistance. We also share our experience of contacting the local police station, the reason behind the truck congestion due to Bhabta Flyover construction, and how the NHAI team eventually came to our rescue. Despite all the unexpected trouble, we finally crossed Barajaguli, Kampa More Flyover and took the Kalyani Expressway towards home.
