Elijah Wald plays Jean-Bosco Mwenda's "Masanga"

Jean-Bosco Mwenda recorded "Masanga" in the early 1950s, and it became one of the most popular and influential acoustic guitar records in the history of African music, imitated from South Africa to Kenya. Elijah fell in love with this song in his teens, and traveled to Lubumbashi in 1990 to study with Jean-Bosco.
