Heavy Fire Conditions Prompt Major Mutual Aid Response Holbrook, NY

At approximately 6:12 PM on December 14, 2025, the Ronkonkoma Fire Department was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire in Holbrook, New York. Upon arrival, the chief transmitted a working house fire, prompting the activation of multiple mutual aid departments. Responding mutual aid departments included Nesconset Fire Department, Holtsville Fire Department, Holbrook Fire Department, Farmingville Fire Department, Central Islip Fire Department, Selden Fire Department, Bohemia Fire Department, and Bayport Fire Department. Firefighters operated on scene for over 30 minutes before the fire was brought under control. Crews conducted an aggressive interior and exterior attack, along with overhaul operations.
